I was born in an artistic family. My grandfather and great-uncle were both art professors in universities in China. In particular my great-uncle Jiao Kequn was one of the great masters who combined the French Impressionist style with traditional Chinese art.
From my childhood on, I learned to observe nature through my grandparents. I like to sketch moments that impress me deeply and touch my inner being. During the time I have learned and constantly improved the painting technique for Stil life, Landscape and Portrait.
Ten years later I began an art study at the Oxford Tutorial College. In 2017 I went on to study Fine Art at London Metropolitan University. After received a bachelor's degree with 1st class honors in 2020, I completed the master program there this year.
With great enthusiasm I was able to take part in the Graduate Diploma study in Royal College of Arts London. With the special programs like Mapping & Narative, Language & Body, Culture & Identity and Environment & Memory, I’ve got a better understanding of the content of painting. Also, my research work and painting-discipline have been enriched and deepened. This in turn helps to improve my artistic expression.
This holographic aspect will reform and shape my future painting style.
